ANNOUNCEMENTS

ANNUAL MEETING:
The Marshall County Poultry & Egg Association Annual Meeting
will be held Friday, August 1, 2008, at the Guntersville Civitan Park. Vendors will be present
exhibiting their products. The scholarship winners and their parents will be recognized at
the meeting. A John Deere Gator will be given away along with numerous door prizes. The meal
will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m.
J.D. GATOR TICKETS:
John Deere Gator tickets are on sale now for $50.00 each.
Contact any director of the Marshall County Poultry & Egg Association for tickets. The
proceeds from the ticket sales help support our scholarship program.
4-H CHICKENQUE:
The 4-H Chickenque Contest was held recently at the
Guntersville Recreation Center with twenty-one students participating. The winners were:
Senior Level I Division:
1st Place - Anna Montgomery, Douglas Jr. High School
2nd Place - Justin Pendergrass, Arab Jr. High School
Junior Division—
1st Place - Alan Michael Sanders, Arab Jr. High School
2nd Place - Trey Quin, Evans Elementary School
3rd Place - Emily Hardin, Brindlee Mountain Middle School
SCHOLARSHIPS:
The following individuals will each receive a $500.00 Marshall County Poultry & Egg
Association scholarship for 2008:
Lindsey Baker, Albertville—daughter of Joey & Laura Baker (Wayne Farms)
Benjamin Bardon, Arab—son of Shawn & Rhonda Bardon (Wayne Farms)
Jason Black, Arab—son of Rodger & Yvonne Black (Wayne Farms)
Jamie Evans, Douglas—daughter of Mark Evans, Joey & Carrie Brothers (Wayne Farms)
Andrew Kinney, Douglas—son of Thomas & Deborah Kinney (Koch Foods)
